Bio

David’s lifelong love affair with Dungeons & Dragons began decades ago, igniting a passion for storytelling, creativity, and immersive gameplay. Over the years, he’s not only mastered the art of weaving captivating narratives but also carved a unique space in the D&D community as a creator, host, and Killer DM.

As the mastermind behind Crucible of Fate, a high-stakes, competitive, open-invitational D&D game show, David, a.k.a. Killer DM, has elevated the role of Dungeon Master to new heights. Crucible of Fate challenges players with intense, no-holds-barred scenarios that demand quick thinking, strategy, and a willingness to embrace the chaos of the dice. Known for his cunning twists and ruthless fairness, David ensures that every session is a spectacle of tension, triumph, and, often, glorious defeat. His role as Killer DM isn’t just about challenging players—it’s about forging unforgettable moments that linger long after the game ends.

Game Style

David’s storytelling prowess shines brightest in his Shadows Nigh campaign setting, a world of dualities and stark contrasts. Shadows Nigh explores the interplay between light and darkness, good and evil, and life and death, weaving a rich tapestry of lore, intrigue, and peril. From the celestial luminae to the malevolent obscurae, David’s world-building is immersive and evocative, drawing players into a realm where every decision carries weight and consequence.

A writer and game designer at heart, David combines his experience in crafting homebrew content with his love for deadly, dark horror storytelling to create adventures that captivate and challenge. Whether shaping epic battles or tender moments of character growth, David’s passion for D&D is evident in every game he runs, leaving players and audiences alike eager for more.
