Bio

Amanda Hamon is a Senior Designer working on Dungeons & Dragons at Wizards of the Coast. An award-winning tabletop game designer, developer, writer, and editor, her work has appeared in dozens of releases from numerous publishers, including Wizards of the Coast, Paizo, and Kobold Press.  She is the former Editorial Director for Kobold Press as well as the former managing developer and a co-creator of the Starfinder RPG by Paizo. Amanda is absolutely not three opossums in a trench coat, though you can find her making screeching noises on Twitter at @amandahamon.

Game Style

Amanda’s games are nothing if not intense. Sometimes, they’re intensely zany; after all, she is known for her distinctive goblin voice, which often echoes throughout convention halls. Other times, her games are intensely grim, and Amanda is also known as a horror writer and a viscerally descriptive Dungeon Master. No matter the game’s tone, Amanda prioritizes deep and nuanced roleplaying, and she loves nothing more than when players’ creative approaches unexpectedly change the story’s direction. Amanda strives to immerse players in her game’s stories and promote meaningful character interactions. She believes that both can lead to satisfying, long-lasting, and sometimes life-changing experiences at the table.
