As night falls over the Elven city of Silverymoon, and the good people of the ancient realm bid each other a pleasant night, a thing stirs in the dark. A shadow passes over the tall towers and elegant minarets, and chaos is left in its wake. The shrieks and screams ring out, echoing through the wide streets and filling the city with a terrified cacophony of wailing. Visions of eyes, multitudes of eyes; ever watching, never blinking, immortal and inescapable eyes. A mouth wider than time, and a gullet deeper than space, with teeth like the ending of the world. The worst of all though, the laugh… like a vengeful god come to mock those who are soon to die, or the death rattle of a world. Something evil this way comes, and few will escape when it does…
