Bio

A professional actor, writer, improviser, and Dungeon Master, Aliza fell in love with TTRPGs in 2018. Soon after guest GMing "Weave Society" on Geek & Sundry, Aliza became the Game Master of "Overlight: Fractured Paradox," a 6-episode campaign of Renegade Game Studios' fantasy RPG Overlight, also on Geek & Sundry. In December 2020, she moved from a player's seat to the GM chair in the all-Klingon Star Trek Adventures (Modiphius) campaign Blood of the Void with Streampunks RPG on Queue Times.

She has GMed for the Queer and BIPoC led channel “The Cookout TTRPGs,” (twitch.tv/kira858.) running a D&D 5e Forgotten Realms campaign called “Lords of Faerün” and a Marvel RPG campaign, “The New Vanguard” using Marvel’s playtest for their upcoming rule-set. One of her most unique games was a 4-shot Call of Cthulhu campaign for The Good Time Society set in 1940s San Juan, Puerto Rico, inspired by her grandmother's generation. Aliza has worked with Amazon, Geek & Sundry, Nerdist, Fandom, Buzzfeed, D&D Beyond, The Good Time Society, Streampunks, and many other channels and outlets as a streaming gamemaster and TTRPG player. She made her D&D in a Castle debut as a Dungeon Master and Game Master in the Fall of 2022.

At D&D in a Castle, Aliza will be continuing to lead adventurers in her 5e underwater kingdom campaign, based on Steven E. Schend's "Sea of Fallen Stars" setting book. She's excited to return to this setting with additional playable aquatic races and even more deep lore and history inspired by the original 2e sourcebook. PCs will all be aquatic races, and won't have underwater combat penalties -- something she's always wanted to experience as a player!

Game Style

Aliza's style as a DM is all about creating a rich, vibrant playground for her players to adventure in. A mix of deep lore and on-the-fly improv create a collaborative story between Aliza and her players. Aliza is the type of dungeon master that delights in players who respect the space and each other, while also breathing life into their PCs and "swinging for the fences" in terms of creativity and excitement. Roleplaying typically takes center stage, with a good amount of combat and political intrigue to round things out.
